Two weeks ago i bought a Hantek 6022BE Digital Storage Oscilloscope. A real bargain at € 67 from Banggood.com. It comes with two probes and took only 9 days to get to my place.
Now this is certainly not the best DSO around but i guess (hope) it will be a great companion for my electronics projects. Before buying I googled around and it appeared that the hardware of this thing is fair but the software supplied is really poor. But the solution to that can be found here. Richard Krupski redesigned the application which is distributed through the forum as Open6022BE. The 40+ pages not only contain the link to the latest version of Open6022BE but also discuss what to expect from this cheap DSO. For me, I didn’t even bother to install the Hantek application and only used the CD to install the driver on Win7. Meanwhile other software became available. See Rodericks comment on this blog post!
So this is how the built-in calibration signal looks like. At first glance the features look real complete to me. The forum also explains how to modify the hardware to have a better noise suppression so I might try to do that also. Keep you posted!

Where can I download Open6022be from please

I agree Dave. It’s hard to find that in the mentioned thread on EEVBlog.
Here’s where the goodies can be found:
Software 1.0v18
Manual 1.0v19
Sourcefiles
Future readers: If above links are broken check this EEVBlog forum thread for updates (somewhere beyond page 50). It looks like RichardK paused development and released the sources for someone else to take over.

RichardK’s fine software is also mirrored on ftp://pididu.com/OpenHantek/ .
There are also various other alternative packages out, for which Open6022BE laid the groundwork. Mine is called BasicScope, and can be found at http://pididu.com/wordpress/BasicScope/ . My program is not as powerful as Richard’s, but may be more convenient and stable to use. Both programs are free and open source.

Thanks for pointing Roderick! I made a note in the post to give it more attention.

Have you had any luck using the Hantek with sigrok, or any other alternative software? my experience with the Hantek is here – https://skippy.org.uk/hantek-6022be-usb-oscilloscope/
When I get chance I will be trying to get it to work natively with my Mac

@skippyuk That’s interesting! This Hantek should be supported by sigrok using the proper firmware. Never tried though.

I had the inductor L3 smoke on my 6022BL .Could someone find out the value for me please. My 250 kilo dog bounced off my desk , during the cascade of falling items I had 120V get shorted to the ground clip on the probe and it let out all the magic smoke ;(
